The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team played their first spring match of their 2023-24 season, falling to the University of the District of Columbia 6-1 Wednesday afternoon at the CHC Tennis Courts.

The Griffins fall to 9-7 with the loss.  UDC improves to 12-6.

Chestnut Hill's only point of the match came at #5 singles with Lilian Bandel earning a 6-4, 6-2 win over Celia Bastin.  Bandel also teamed up with Romi Meirovich to win #1 doubles but the Firebirds won at #2 and #3 doubles to earn the doubles point. 

The Firebirds won their first four singles contests to clinch the match before Bandel's win put the Griffins on the board.  UDC then won their final match to complete the 6-1 win.

The women's tennis team returns to action on Thursday, April 10, 2024 when they travel to play Stockton University.  First serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
