The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team earned three wins on Friday at the ITA East Region Small College Tournament with a pair of players advancing to Saturday's competition with singles wins.

Menno Raeymaekers and Ewan Brown both won their round of 64 singles matches to advance to Saturday's round of 32.  Raeymakers scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Kylan Fergulio  of Saint Thomas Aquinas college while Brown recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win over Paul McClellan of Franklin Pierce University.

Brown and Pablo Cervera teamed up to earn a doubles win in the round of 32, defeating Alejandro Ortiz and Raylen Heibel of Franklin Pierce, 8-3.  The duo then lost their round of 16 match to Ondrej Sramek and Lorenzo Meschini of STAC, 8-4.

Raeymaekers and Filippo Relecom lost their opening doubles match in the round of 32, 8-1 to Casey Recci and Mateos Hoyas od Adelphi.

Relecom dropped his opening singles match, 6-2, 6-1 to Alberto Espinosa of STAC while Julius Van Den Broek of Saint Michael's College defeated Cervera 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2) in the round of 64.

Singles play for Brown and Raeymaekers continue on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the National Tennis Center in Queens, New York.
