The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team dropped their second consecutive match Saturday afternoon, falling to Shippensburg University, 3-1 at Heiges Field house on Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

The Griffins fall to 5-5 overall while the Raiders improve to 4-9.

The Raiders took the first set, 25-15, before the Griffins rebounded and evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-18 second set win.  Shippensburg then took the next two sets 25-13 and 25-17 to secure the match win.

Erika Dubosky led all players with 20 kills while Rachel Mace added ten.  Mia Caporellie led the team with 28 assists and also recorded a double-double with ten digs.  Caporellie also recorded two aces.

Mace and Dubosky also had double-doubles on the afternoon with 17 and 16 digs respectively.  For Dubosky, it was her sixth consecutive double-double. Alexandra Crespin added 14 digs for the match.  Maya Hopson and Pamela Uceta had two blocks apiece to lead CHC.

Isabelle Bombas led the Raiders with 11 kills while Kearstin Davis had 40 assists and four aces. Berkley Simmons led the team with 15 digs.

The women's volleyball team returns to action on Monday, September 30, 2024, when they travel to face Southern Connecticut State University before returning home for conference action when they host Jefferson University on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in Sorgenti Arena.
