The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team dropped their third straight match, fall to Saint Anselm 3-1 Friday evening at the Gallagher Center on Jefferson University's campus.
The Hawks improve to 8-5 with the win while the Griffins fall to 3-11. The Hawks won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-13 before the Griffins rallied to win the third set 26-24. St. Anselm took the fourth set 25-8.
Kate Hanley led the Griffins with ten kills while Nicole Dimiris and Micah McKenzie added seven apiece. Hanley, McKenzie, Maya Hopson and Sadie Bayko had two service aces apiece. Sofia Rodriguez led the team with 28 assists.
On the defensive side, Rodriguez  and Sarah Allen had 11 digs apiece. Katelyn Dougherty chipped in six. Dimiris had two blocks.
For the match, the Hawks had 41 kills to the Griffins' 33 while the Griffins held the advantage with 11 aces (St. Anselm - 6). St. Anselm held a 43-34 advantage in digs and had six team blocks to the Griffins three.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, October 11, 2025 when they travel to face Lincoln University. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
