Rogelio Gerena tied a school record for the lowest round score in program history shooting a 69 and winning the Pull the Pin Tournament hosted by Lancaster Bible College
Gerena's score of 69 ties Matthew Balcer who shot a score of 69 at the Dowling Memorial tournament in the 2015-16 season. Sam Riemer also shot 69 at the same tournament one year earlier.
The Griffins finished sixth as a team in the tournament with a score of 312. Albright University won the tournament with a score of 294.
Gerena produced five birdies and an eagle-three on the par five 12th hole en route to his record low round on the par—71 course, finishing two under for the afternoon. He finished one stroke ahead of Winston Thai from Franklin and Marshall to record his first career win.
Trevor Dendler had the next best score on the day for the Griffins, firing a career-best 79 to place in a tie for 26th place. Dendler produced five birdies in his rounds. Hugo Almeida and Kiefer Sharman followed with identical scores of 82.
Jack Bulman rounded out the Chestnut Hill competitors with a score of 83.
The men's golf team returns to action on October 27, 2025 for their final match of the fall season. They will compete at the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
