The Chestnut Hill College Men's Golf team opened the spring portion of their season on Thursday as they competed at the Thomas Jefferson University Spring Invitational at Jeffersonville golf Club in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins sit in seventh place as the first round of action, firing a score of 310, two strokes behind sixth place Elizabethtown College. St. Thomas Aquinas College leads the competition with a score of 293.
Rogelio Gerena led the Griffins in the first round of play, shooting a four-over par 74, sitting in a tie for seventh place overall, seven strokes behind the leader. Gerena recorded five birdies over the 18 holes of play.
Trevor Dendler and Jack Bulman are tied for 27th and sit four strokes behind Gerena with identical scores of 78. Dendler had three birdies while Bulman had two. Kiefer Sharman was two strokes further back with a score of 80 and Noah Cutting was four strokes behind Sharman with a score of 84 with one birdie on the afternoon.
Round two of the tournament begins tomorrow March 20, 2026 with the Griffins first golfers teeing off at 9:30 a.m.
