The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team lost to Holy Family University 3-0 Wednesday night in a Central Atlantic Collegiate conference match.
The Griffins fall to 4-12 overall and 1-5 in CACC matches. The Tigers improve to 14-6 overall and 5-2. The Tigers won with scores of 25-16, 25-22 and 25-20.
Maya Hopson led the team with ten kills, while recording just one error in 20 attack attempts for a .450 hitting percentage. Nicole Dimiris added nine kills and a .318 hitting percentage (9-2-22). Sofia Rodriguez led Chestnut Hill with 27 assists. Sadie Bayko led the team with two service aces.
On the defensive side, Alex Crespin had a game-high 11 digs. Hopson had six blocks while Bayko added four. Dimiris and Micah McKenzie had three apiece.
For the match, the Tigers had a 35-31 advantage in kills and produced seven fewer attack errors (14-21), outhitting the Griffins .250 to .097. Holy Family doubled up the Griffins with eight service aces to CHC's four. And held a 41-26 advantage in digs. The Griffins held a 9-4 advantage in team blocks.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, October 18, 2025 when they travel to face the University of Bridgeport. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
