The fall season has come to an end for the Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team on Saturday as top seed Jefferson University defeated the Griffins 4-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Semi-finals.
Chestnut Hill finishes the fall season with a 5-8 record. Jefferson, who advances to Sunday's championship match remains undefeated at 13-0.
The Griffins lost the doubles point winning two of the three doubles contest.  The Rams took the #3 doubles by default before Veronika Lundgren and Claudia Rasilla Romero battled to a 7-5 win at #2 doubles over Emily Frost and Marta Vasquez. The #1 doubles match decided the doubles point with Jefferson's Anouk Oderkerk and Alycia Veroux beating Lilian Bandel and Elena Arenas Guisasola 6-4.
Now up 2-0 after taking a default win at #6 singles, The Rams recorded wins at #1 and #3 singles to end the match with a 4-0 win. Oderkerk defeated Milica Zagorac 6-0, 6-2 at #1 singles while Madina Omarova defeated Arenas Guisasola , 6-2, 6-2 at #3 singles.
Singles matches at the #2, #4 and #5 slots went unfinished.
With the fall portion of the season complete, the women's tennis team will look forward to the spring portion of their season, of which a schedule has yet to be announced.
