Women's Cross Country Team Finish Seventh at CACC Championships

The Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team concluded their 2025 season Sunday morning at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships with a seventh place finish at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.

Three Griffins were competing in their first ever 5,000-meter cross country race while a fourth recorded a personal best time as the Griffins finished with 177 points, just eight points behind sixth place Holy Family University.  Jefferson University captured the team title with 15 points, sweeping the competition.

Senior Rebecca Dalton was the Griffins top finisher  with a time of 22:30.09, placing 18th overall.  Dalton was followed by fellow senior Gabby Hassler who was 29th overall with a time of 23:29.43.

Soleil Casseus ran a personal-best time of 24:46.5 to place 36th overall.  Right behind her was Grace Mott in 38th place with a time of 25:12.92.  Aliiyah Gonzalez, running in her first collegiate 5K race rounded out the Griffins' top five scorers, placing 56th with a time of 29:28.77

Yorehiny Moreno and Isabella Schmeltzer were the Griffins final two finishers, completing their first ever 5K cross country race in 31:10.20 and 45:22.03 respectivel

The race concludes the 2025 season for the women's cross country team.
