Two members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country Team have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference 2025 All-Academic Team as announced by the conference office on Friday.
Named to this year's team are senior Rebecca Dalton and sophomore Grace Mott. Dalton earns CACC all-Academic Team accolades for the third time as a women's cross country runner and the eighth time overall (3- women's soccer, 3- women's cross country; 2- women's track and field). Mott garners her first selection to a CACC All Academic Team.
Mott and Dalton were among the 20 Women's cross country runners among nine CACC institutions receiving all-academic team honors.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of his/her team's meets or compete in the conference championship meet.
Dalton, a criminal justice major, competed at the CACC Championship meet in October and was the Griffins' top finisher.  She was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Cross Country/Track and Field team for 2024-25  and most recently earned her third CSC Academic All-District team honor for women's soccer. Dalton is also two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner. She has also been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll (based on semester g.p.a.) in each of the past five semesters beginning with the fall of 2023, the first year of the honors program. Dalton was named to the Dean's List six times and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society in spring of 2025.
Mott, a media and communications major,  has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll in each of her first three semesters at Chestnut Hill. She was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, the freshman honor society last Spring. She has also been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll three times.
Since joining the CACC for the 2007-08 season, 18 Griffin women's cross-country runners have been named to the CACC Women's Cross Country Academic Honor Rolls a total of 35 times. Dalton is the sixth Griffin women's cross country runner to be named to the conference all-academic team three times.  Five additional runners have been recognized twice.Â
