The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis Team concluded play at the St. Joseph's University Invitational on Sunday  with the White Bracket consolation final, the ninth and final singles match played by the Griffins at the tournament.

Siddharth Malik lost in the consolation final to Cameron Samek, 8-4 in a pro-set contest.  Samek also defeated Augustin Daubannay on Saturday in the white bracket consolation semi-finals 8-4.  Malik won his consolation semi-final match by default over Maxfield Ma of Haverford.

Saturday's action also saw quarterfinal rounds of the black flight bracket and both doubles flights along with the consolation round quarterfinals in the grey bracket singles.  Doubles play started the action on Saturday with Malik and Filippo Relecom falling to Egor Kirakosov and Tiago Lima of Drexel 6-3 and Daubannay and Ewan Brown falling to James Sclater and Luke Tolanaar from the university of Delaware 6-1.

Relecom and Malik had reached the quarterfinals of the bracket with a 6-4 win over Hector Fullone and Jakob Gaudreau Barnes of host St. Joseph's on Friday while Brown and Daubannay defeated Severin Risan and Tom Sorbin of NJIT, 6-3, also on Friday.  Brown lost his grey bracket consolation quarterfinal match to Anthony Melanchon of Jefferson University , 8-3.

Relecom reached the black bracket quarterfinals with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Sadhista Linga of NJIT on Friday before falling on Saturday to Jack Sherner of Villanova University on Saturday, 6-3, 6-3.

Friday's three other singles matches involving the Griffins saw Brown fall to Kirakotsov (Drexel) 6-4, 6-3; Malik losing to Arnav Nemali of Haverford, 6-1, 7-5 and Daubannay falling in a tiebreaker to Haverford's Lucio Kombo, 3-6, (7-6 (7-2), 1-0 (11-9).

The men's tennis team returns to action on Sunday, October 12, 2025 when they host the University of the District of Columbia.  First serve is at 1 p.m. at the CHC Tennis Courts
