Bowling Competes at CACC Invitational Meet

The Chestnut Hill College Women's bowling team opened play in their third tournament of the season, the first of two CACC Invitational Meets.  Saturday's competition took place at New City Bowl in New city, New York and was hosted by Dominican University.

The Griffins dropped all five traditional format matches on Saturday to hold down sixth place in the field with a 140.4 average over the five matches.

Cora Olsen was the high individual scorer for the Griffins with a five-match average of 162.80, placing 16th overall among the 33 bowlers competing.  Victoria Forbes followed with a 152.20 average for 20th place overall.

Caldwell University defeated the Griffins in the opening match 870-705.  Taylor Graham had the high game for Chestnut Hill with a 177 while Olsen followed with 166.  Graham and Olsen filled seven of ten frames in the match while Olsen also went 100% in single pin spare attempts.

Felician University earned n 899-751 win in the second match of the day for the Griffins.  Alexis Horton led the team with a 171 score while Olsen bowled a 168. Forbes filled seven of ten frames in the contest.

In the third match it was host Dominican University defeating the Griffins 824-737.  Jessica Bolling led the team with a score of 173 with Olsen right behind her with a score of 168.  Bolling, Olsen and Horton all filled seven of ten frames in the match, with Olsen again making 100% of her single pin spare attempts.

Olsen continued to be perfect with her single pin spare attempts in the fourth match as the Griffins fell to Wilmington University 817-638.  Olsen had a high score of 160 and filled seven of ten frames.

The final match of the day was the closest one for the Griffins as they fell to holy Family University 755-680.  Olson again led the team with a score of 169 and filling seven of ten frames.  Forbes bowled a 161 and also filled seven of ten frames.

The women's bowling team will return to action for the Baker format portion of the tournament on Sunday, November 12, 2025.
