The Chestnut Hill College Women's Lacrosse team returned to action Wednesday afternoon, falling on the road to Georgian Court University 21-0 at the GCU T&F complex in Lakewood, New jersey.
The Griffins fall to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in Central Atlantic collegiate conference games  The Lions improve to 3-7 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Chestnut Hill produced eight shots in the contest, five of which were on goal. Kendall Gayton led the team with three shots on goal. Elizabeth Deal and Abby Galazka added two shots apiece (one shot on goal apiece).
Galazka and Erin McCarthy led he team with three ground balls apiece with Lyikiea Anderson, Gayton, Maya Zullo and DeAnna Otero had two apiece.  Galazka also led the team with three caused turnovers while Gayton and Ajibola Adesipo had two apiece. Gayton also won three draw controls.
In net for the Griffins, Anderson had seven saves while playing the first and fourth quarters. McCarthy recorded two saves while playing the second and third quarters.
GCU jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and added five more goals by halftime. The team went on to score ten second half goals to round out their scoring. Isabel Raimondi led the Lions with six goals and five assists.
The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Saturday, March 29, 2025, when they host Caldwell university at victory field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. First draw is set for 12:00 p.m.
