Griffins Fall to Nationally Ranked Chargers

 The Chestnut Hill College Women's Lacrosse team returned to action Saturday afternoon, dropping a contest against first-place Dominican University 21-0 at victory field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.

The Griffins fall to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games   The Chargers, ranked #24 in the latest IWLCA National poll,  improve to 12-1 overall and 8-0 in league play.

Chestnut Hill produced five shots in the contest, with Nicole George recording two of them.  Elizabeth Deal, Kendall Gayton, and Molly Killion had one shot apiece. Gayon also won four draw controls while Killion won two.

Abby Galazka led the team with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.  Lyikiea Anderson had 13 saves in net for the Griffins and also recorded a pair of ground balls.

The Chargers scored ten goals in the opening quarter and increased their lead to 16-0 by halftime.  The Griffins defense held Dominican to just one third quarter goal and four fourth quarter goals.

Erica Ortiz led the Chargers with eight goals.

The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, when they host Jefferson University at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.  First draw is set for 7:00 p.m.
