Abby Galazka scored twice but the Chestnut Hill College Women's Lacrosse team lost to Wilmington University 24-3 Tuesday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex in Newark, Delaware.
The Griffins fall to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The Wildcats improve to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Galazka scored her first goal with four minutes left in the second quarter. It was also her first goal as a collegian. The senior then added her second goal of the game early in the fourth quarter, Both goals were unassisted.
Nicole George scored Chestnut Hill's first goal of the game with 2:13 left in the first quarter to put the Griffins on the board.Â
Molly Killion led the team with five shots. Galazka won four draw controls and led the team with three caused turnovers.  DeAnna Otero won three draw controls.  Erin McCarthy made five first half saves in goal while Lyikiea   Anderson had two second half saves.
Ella Royer led the Wildcats with eight goals.
The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Friday, April 4, 2025, when they travel to face the University of Bridgeport. First draw is at 3:00 p.m.
