The Wildcats scored the first basket of the game for their only lead in the contest with Griffins scoring the next ten points to take a 10-2 lead. Eight of the ten points came as a result of the Griffins press and forcing five WU turnovers. The CHC lead oscillated between five and eight points and Miller's free throw with 31 seconds made the score 18-11 heading into the second quarter.
Mann gave the Griffins their first double digit lead of the night early in the second quarter with a layup (21-11). The Wildcats cut the lead to eight with 3:12 left but the Griffins exploded with an 11-2 run to head into the locker room leading by 17, 39-22.

It was all Griffins in the fourth quarter as they outscored their hosts 21-12 to  finish with the 27-point win.
For the game, the Griffins shot 42.9% (27-63) from the field and 22-30 (73.3%) from the free throw line while holding the Wildcats to just 31% shooting (18-58) and a 55.6% effort (15-27) from the free throw line. The Wildcats dominated play on the glass, outrebounding the Griffins 50-35. Chestnut Hill forced 35 turnovers and scored 34 points off them.
