The Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse team opened their season Saturday afternoon, falling to nationally ranked Seton Hill University 14-6 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Seton Hill, ranked #5 in the most recent US Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll upped their record to 2-0 with the win while Chestnut Hill opens the season at 0-1.
Preston Page led the Chestnut Hill, scoring three of the team's six goals. Will Duddy, Paul Katko-Capozzi and Matthew Miller scored one goal apiece.Â
Thomas Gallagher led the team with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Adam Daley made 19 saves in goal.
 Duddy scored the first goal of the game with an assist from Landon Hare, giving Chestnut Hill an early 1-0 lead. Seton Hill peppered Daley with eight shots on goal following Duddy's score, converting on four of them as they took a 4-1 lead after one quarter of play.
In the second quarter, Seton Hill tallied five unanswered scores to take a 10-1 lead before Katko-Capozzi scored with 44 seconds left in the half to make the score 10-2 at halftime.
Page scored all three of Chestnut Hill's goals in the third quarter. His third score was a man-up goal with 34 seconds left in the third quarter with Cole Pedroso assisting, making the score 13-5.
The two teams added a goal apiece in the final quarter with Chestnut Hill's coming with 59 seconds left as Aidan Walsh fed Miller for the final goal.
The men's lacrosse team returns to action on Saturday, February 28 when they travel to face #9 Pace University in New Rochelle, New York. First faceoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
