Prior to the games, the athletics department and the baseball team recognized their senior players who were playing in their final regular season doubleheader of their careers.  Seven players were recognized including pitchers, Rich Bonino, Cole Morris, Noah Tincher and Mason Adkins, along with infielders Kenyon Motley, Michael Melosky  and William Brennan.  The honorees were presented with gifts from the team and the department for their contributions to the program and their accomplishments both on and off the field were announced for all to hear.

Melosky drove in three runs in the opener, two following the first home run of his career in the Griffins' five-run sixth inning.   Brennan also had his shining moment in game two, blasting a grand slam in the fourth inning for his first career home run.

Dylan Broderick and Wyatt Spinks also hit home runs in the opener.  Broderick also drove in four runs.  George Conway earned the win in relief, pitching the sixth inning when the Griffins took the lead for good, allowing two runs on three hits. Bonino earned his fourth save, pitching the ninth inning.

In the opener, the Griffins took their first lead as Motley executed a squeeze play bunt to score Jackson Shollenberger and give CHC a 3-2 lead in the bottom   Bridgeport came back with three runs in the third inning to lead 5-3.

Now trailing 6-3 in the fourth, Broderick tied the game with a three-run home run.  Pascoe later added a two-run single to put the Griffins ahead 8-6. Bridgeport added two home runs in the top half of the fifth to retake the lead and scored twice more in the sixth to lead 11-8 when the Griffins erupted for five runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Nicholas Shiffler delivered a one-out single for the first run and Shollenberger laced a double to score Aiden Myers to pull the Griffins within one.  An infield groundout from Broderick tied the game before Melosky belted a home run to left centerfield to give the Griffins the lead for good 13-11.

Spinks led off the seventh inning with a home run for the Griffins' final run.  Bonino faced four batters in the ninth inning to secure the 14-12 win.

Bridgeport added eight more runs in the final three innings to round out the scoring.
