The Chestnut Hill College Men's Track and Field Team concluded their season over the weekend with several athletes competing at the central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey.

The Griffins finished the meet in tenth place with six total points.

Those six points came on Friday as Michael Lopez-Zabala took home a third place medal in the javelin throw with a toss of 46.26 meters (151' 9") and breaking the school record of 42.58 meters (139' 8") set back in 2023 by Jason Chedester.   Lopez-Zabala surpassed the old record on his very first throw, tossing the javelin 45.80 meters (150' 3") and improved that mark on each of his next two throws, with the third one being his best of the day at 46.26 meters.

On Saturday, the Griffins took part in the two relay events.  Starting the day with the 4x100 meter relay race, the team of Brennan Hasbrouck, Marvin Dozier, Moussa Coulibaly, and Kyree Griffin finished second in their heat with a time of 44.98 seconds.  Their time placed them ninth overall out of the ten teams competing.

The team ended the day with the 4x400 meter relay.  Lucas Iuliucci, Coulibaly, Griffin and Ryan O'Hara finished third in their heat and tenth overall with a time of 3:41.81.  The relay team's time was a season-best effort.

Host Georgian Court went on to win the championship with a score of 179 points.
