The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team concluded their two-day tournament at the Shepherd University Ram Rumble on Saturday in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, falling to host Shepherd, 3-0 and dropping a 3-0 decision to Goldey-Beacom College
The Griffins finished the season opening tournament with a 1-3 record.
In the first match, Shepherd swept the Griffins with scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-10. Kass Kimmel led Chestnut Hill with 11 kills against Shepherd. Sofia Rodriguez had 21 assists while Sarah Allen had two aces. On the defensive side, Rachel Mace recorded ten digs and Kimmel and Rodriguez  added seven apiece. Micah McKenzie had two blocks.
Goldey-Beacom also swept the Griffins in their final match, winning with scores of 25-20, 26-24 and 25-18.  Kimmel, Macayla Lindner and Parys Boykin finished the match with nine kills apiece.  Rodriguez had 27 assists setting the Griffin offense. Lindner and Kimmel also led the team with two aces apiece. Defensively three Griffins reached double figures for digs, led by Lindner's 12. Kimmel had 11 and Mace added 10. Boykin, Kimmel and Kayle Arozio had two blocks apiece.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Friday September 4, 2026 when the travel to face Molloy University. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
