The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team dropped their conference opener Tuesday night, falling to Goldey-Beacom College 3-0 at the Jones Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Griffins fall to 4-7 overall and 0-1 in central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches.  The Lightning improve to 9-2 overall and 1-0 in league play.
The Lightning completed the match winning with scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-23.
Micayla Lindner and Micah McKenzie led the Griffins with six kills apiece. Kayle Arozio added five.  Sofia Rodriguez led the team with 17 assists.  Lindner and Katelyn Dougherty had two service aces apiece.
On the defensive side, Rodriguez led the team with ten digs for her third double-double of the season. Alex Crespin added nine digs while Rachel Mace and Lindner chipped in six apiece. Arozio led the team with four blocks while Caroline Croteau added two.
Baylee Brin led the Lightning with eight kills while Juliana Malena had 14 assists and 14 digs.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, September 19, 2026 when they travel to play Felician University. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
