The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team suffered their second loss of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to host Felician University 3-0 at the Joal & Joseph Job Gym in Rutherford, New Jersey.
The first two sets were close with the golden Falcons coming out on top 26-24 and 25-23. Felician completed the sweep, defeating the Griffins 25-12 in the final set.
The Griffins fall to 4-8 overall and 1-2 in Central Atlantic collegiate Conference games. The golden Falcons improve to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Kayle Arozio led the Griffins with eight kills while Macayla Lindner added seven. Lindner, Caroline Croteau and Braylin Byrd had two aces apiece. Sofia Rodriguez led the team with 18 assists.
On the defensive end, Rodriguez had seven digs, Croteau six, Lindner five and Rachel Mace five. Arozio and Lyla Bechtel had three blocks apiece.
For the game, Felician had a 37-23 advantage in kills and had six more digs than the Griffins (37-31). The golden Falcons finished the game with an attack percentage of .262 (37-10-103) while the Griffins hit .094 (23-14-96). Felician also had a 10-7 advantage in service aces.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 when they host Jefferson University. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
