The Chestnut Hill College Women's tennis team saw their four match winning streak come to an end Saturday afternoon as they lost to host Jefferson University 6-1 in East Falls.
The Griffins drop to 4-1 overall and suffer their first conference loss to drop their record in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches to 3-1. Jefferson is also 3-1 in conference play and 3-1 overall.
The Rams took the first two doubles matches to clinch the doubles point. Chestnut Hill did win the final match in doubles play as Lilian Bandel and Elena Arenas Guisasola defeated Anouk Oderkirk and Alycia Veroux 7-5 at #1 doubles.
Jefferson captured five of the six singles matches to complete the decisive victory. Chestnut Hill's only singles win came at #6 singles as Fabienne Lahn improved to 5-0 in singles play on the season with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Sophia Babar.
The women's tennis team returns to action on Monday, September 21 2026 when they travel to face Kutztown University. First serve is at 3:00 p.m.
