The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team dropped their second conference match of the season Wednesday afternoon falling to Queens College at the CHC Tennis Courts, 6-1.
The Griffins fall to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in league play. Queens improves to 6-1 overall and in CACC contests.
Chestnut Hill's lone point came at #5 singles as Tia Kaukenas defeated Anishka Amalnathan 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, making the score 5-1 in favor of the visitors at the time.
The Knights started off the match with a doubles sweep to take a 1-0 lead. The closest match came at #1 doubles with CHC's doubles team of Elena Arenas Guisasola and Lilian Bandel falling to Sixtine Goubet and Lilie Bizourne 6-4.
Queens went on to win four straight singles matches (#1, #2, #6 and #3 singles) to take a 5-0 lead before Kaukenas ' win. Bandel dropped the Griffins final singles match in a three set marathon, against Johanne Genestay 1-6, 7-5, 2-6.
The women's tennis team returns to action on Friday, September 25, 2026 when they travel to play Queen's in Flushing, New York. First serve is set for 12:30 p.m.
