The Chestnut Hill College Men's Cross Country team kicked off their 2026 season Friday afternoon at the GCU Jersey Pine Barrens Challenge hosted by Georgian Court University at Ocean County Park in Lakewood, New Jersey.
The Griffins produced a sixth place finish with 157 points. Stockton University won the race with a score of 30 points, placing five runners among the top eight finishers.
Chestnut Hill's top finisher was freshman Jasper Faustino. Faustino placed fifth overall with a time of 21:04.4 for the 6,000-meter course. He was the top freshman runner among the five Division II schools competing in the event and the second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference runner to finish.
Senior Ryan O'Hara was the next Griffins to cross the line, placing 30th overall with a time of 23:41.2. Kyree Griffin followed with a time of 27:26.3.
Marvin Dozier, Moussa Coulibaly and Brennan Hasbrouck rounded out the Griffins finishers. Dozier finished in 30:08.1 while Coulibaly and Hasbrouck crossed the finish line with times of 33.14.2 and 36:30.5 respectively.
The men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, September 12, 2026 when they compete at the Philadelphia Cross Classic at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. Start time is set for 9:45 a.m.
