The Chestnut Hill college Women's volleyball concluded their two game New York road trip Saturday afternoon, losing to regional rival Mercy University 3-0 in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
The Griffins fall to 2-4 overall while Mercy improves to 5-0. Mercy won the match with scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-17 in the three sets.
Parys Boykin led the Griffins with eight kills while Kass Kimmel added three. Sofia Rodriguez had 17 assists, and Sarah Allen recorded the Griffins' only service ace of the match.Â
Defensively Rachel Mace, Kimmel and Rodriguez led the team with five digs apiece.
For the game the Mavericks had 45 kills and hit .388 (45-12-85) while the Griffins had 18 kills and 18 errors in 80 attack attempts. Mercy finished the match with more aces (8-1) and more dig (39-23).
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 when they host Queens College for the home opener of the 2026 season at Sorgenti arena. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
