New Haven, CT – (4/5/2010) – Senior midfielder Carley Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) garnered her third straight honorable mention among the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly award winners after totaling seven goals and three assists while helping the Griffins to their first CACC victory of the season.
Glass opened the week with two goals, an assist, a ground ball, a draw, and a caused turnover against Post University on Tuesday, March 30. Her effort led Chestnut Hill College (2-5, 1-3) to a 12-10 victory, their first CACC win of the season. Glass had two goals in the opening 7-0 run that helped the Griffins endure the Eagles’ second-half rally. She scored three times and provided an assist against Dowling College. Glass also recorded two ground balls, four draws, and a caused turnover against the #8 ranked, Golden Lions (IWLCA). To close the week, she added two goals, an assist, six ground balls, and a draw at Georgian Court University.
Glass leads the Griffins in assists (9) and points (28) this season while ranking second in scoring (19 goals). She also leads the team in ground balls (22) and caused turnovers (11) while ranking second in draws (14). She was a CACC honorable mention for the weeks ending March 28 and March 21.
The women’s lacrosse team continues the CACC schedule with a 4:00 p.m. game against Dominican College on Tuesday, April 6.
