Marra Makes CACC Men’s Soccer Weekly Honor Roll With A Pair of Goals
 
New Haven, Conn. - (11/4/2019) – Junior forward Miguel Marra (Ossining, N.Y.) recorded a goal in both games of a 1-1 week of play that included a 3-1 league-win at Felician University on Saturday, November 2. The productive performances earned Marra his first Central Atlantic College Conference (CACC) Men’s Soccer Weekly Honor Roll appearance of the season.
 
Despite outshooting Roberts Wesleyan College (9-5-1) 5-4 in the first half, Chestnut Hill College (4-9-3, 3-6-2) battled from behind for most of the way in a 5-1 loss as the Redhawks got on the scoreboard just 3:34 (1-0) after the opening kickoff. A late first half goal (40:29) from Marra cut the halftime deficit to a single goal, 2-1, but the Griffins hopes of a comeback were quieted early in the second half as Roberts Wesleyan College forged themselves a 4-1 edge with scores at the 54-minute mark (54:00, 3-1) and 61:38 (4-1). Their final goal came in the last minute of play as senior defenseman Jeremiah Ochepo (Nigeria) added the Redhawks' fifth tally at 89:42 (5-1). Marra and Dutra combined for seven of the Griffins' nine shots with the other two coming off the feet of freshman forward Luciano Torres (Tucuman, Argentina) (42:07) and senior defenseman Paris Bruhn (Horst Holstein, Germany) (69:51).
 
Marra continued his recent success with the game-winner in Saturday’s (November 2) 3-1 CACC victory at Felician University. Chestnut Hill College was first on the scoreboard, with a header from senior midfielder Mo Ehmer (Staines, England) giving the Griffins a 1-0 advantage 32:16 after kickoff. Marra’s tally came a little more than 20 minutes later (2-0, 52:52) and provided enough insurance for the Scarlet and Gold to collect their third CACC win of the season. Senior defenseman Paris Bruhn (Horst Holstein, Germany) led statistically with three points, setting up Ehmer’s header and later adding one of his own as the Griffins’ third tally. Marra was busy up front, taking six shots as the main target of the Scarlet and Gold attack.
