Miller Returns to CACC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll With 27-Point, 16-Rebound Double-Double
 
New Haven, Conn. - (1/21/2020) – Sophomore forward Leah Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa.) recorded a 27-point, 16-rebound double-double in the Griffins’ 81-70 victory over Wilmington University on Wednesday, January 15, en route to her second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll appearance. Miller followed the impressive double-double with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal in Sunday’s (January 19) 57-46 victory over Caldwell University. Miller averaged 19.5 points-per-game (PPG) and 9.0 rebounds-per-game (RPG), while recording three assists, two blocks, and two steals during the week.
 
Chestnut Hill College (6-11, 5-3) earned its second consecutive CACC win on Wednesday, January 15, with an 81-70 result over Wilmington University (1-14, 1-6). The Griffins used a trio of 17-plus point efforts to secure the victory, including Miller’s 27-point, 16-rebound double-double. Miller’s career scoring night included an 8-of-18 (.444) shooting performance and an 11-of-13 (.846) showing at the free throw line. She also recorded a block and a steal in the victory.
 
A third consecutive CACC victory came on Sunday, January 19, for Chestnut Hill College as the Griffins chased the Cougars of Caldwell University (3-15, 3-6) from Sorgenti Arena by a 57-46 final. After heading into halftime tied, the Scarlet and Gold came out of the locker room on a 9-2 run that was highlighted by a trio of three-pointers from guards Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa) (28-27, 7:44), Rachael Millan (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) (31-27, 7:18), and Cassie Sebold (Willow Grove, Pa.) (34-27, 6:37). Chestnut Hill College maintained a seven-point advantage late in the third quarter, 39-32 (0:59), and only added to it in the fourth quarter, where a Miller jumper pushed the Griffin lead to double-digits, 54-44 (2:39), in the closing minutes. Miller scored all 12 of her points in the second half and led four Griffins in double figures.
