New Haven, CT - (4/19/10) - Senior attack Maryanne Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) totaled 20 goals and five assists this week (25 pts) including a 10-point performance in a 17-16 loss to Holy Family University. Her performance earned her a second CACC honorable mention among weekly award winners.
She opened the week with six goals, four assists, two ground balls, a draw, and four caused turnovers in a dramatic loss to the Tigers. Following that, Glass recorded four goals, four draws and two caused turnovers at Philadelphia University. She scored four more goals in addition to collecting three ground balls, two draws and two caused turnovers against Molloy College. In the week-ending rematch with the Tigers, Glass again netted six scores, but it was not enough for the Griffins to earn the season split. She also recorded an assist and a draw control in the affair.
Glass ranks second in goals (57) and assists (11) for the Griffins while also holding the conference’s second best stats for goals per game (4.07) and points per game (4.86). She has successfully converted 17-of-29 free position attempts (58.6%) and totaled 20 ground balls (4th on CHC), 32 draws (2nd), and 21 caused turnovers (2nd). She recorded her 200th career point as well this week.
The women’s lacrosse team continues CACC play with a home contest against Holy Family University at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13.
