New Haven, CT – (4/27/2010) – A week after garnering her second honorable mention, senior attack Maryanne Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. Glass totaled ten goals and four assists while leading the Griffins to a 1-1 week, which included a 10-8 win over Philadelphia University.
Glass scored four goals, made two assists, and hustled to six draw controls to help Chestnut Hill College (5-11, 4-8) defeat Philadelphia University in their final CACC contest of the season. She also scored six goals and made two assists in a 19-11 loss to Wilmington University. Glass finished the week with 10 goals on 22 shots, in addition to recovering a ground ball and nine draw controls. Her sister, senior midfielder Carley Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) was the CACC Player of the Week for the week ending April 11.
Maryanne Glass leads the Griffins in goals (67) and shots (145) this season, while trailing only her sister in assists (15), points (82), shooting percentage (46.2%), draw controls (41), and caused turnovers (21).
The women’s lacrosse team concludes their season with a trip to Moravian College for a 4:00 p.m. contest on Tuesday, April 27.
