Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (9/16/2021) - With time racing off the clock in the second overtime period of this evening's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener, a Goldey-Beacom College (1-3, 0-1) hand ball in the box granted Chestnut Hill College (2-1-1, 1-0) the opportunity to score a win on the two-year anniversary of Head Coach Sandy Dickson's passing. Freshman forward Lizzie Stokes (Philadelphia, Pa.) made sure the chance counted as she buried the penalty kick to the left of the Lightning goalkeeper with 40 seconds (109:20) and change remaining on the game clock; 2-1 (2OT).

Goldey-Beacom College controlled the ball early, but Chestnut Hill College made better use of their shots as senior forward Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa.) scored on the first Scarlet and Gold shot of the night; 1-0 (9:58). The Griffin captain gathered her own rebound, dribbled to her left and fired a shot to the back of the Lightning goal.
