Dawson and Hills Earn CACC Honor Roll Recognition
 
New Haven, Conn. - (9/16/2014) – The Chestnut Hill College women’s tennis team opened their 2014-2015 and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) seasons with a bang, toppling Georgian Court University by a 9-0 margin and collecting weekly league Honor Roll recognition for senior Charlotte Dawson (Odessa, Texas) and freshman Hannah Hills (Maize, Kan.).
 
Chestnut Hill College (1-0, 1-0) took care of the top two doubles flight by 8-0 finals with Dawson and fellow senior Iman Williams-Mulesa (Pickering, Ontario) teaming for the win at number one doubles and Hills and junior Axe Owens (Trenton, N.J.) taking the second team match. The Griffins continued to control the match as individuals with only the sixth singles flight lasting beyond two sets. At the top of the lineup, Dawson secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at number one singles while Hills earned her first individual collegiate victory with a 6-1, 6-1 at number five singles.
 
The women’s tennis team continues their CACC schedule on Wednesday, September 17, when they visit Caldwell College for a 3:00 match.
