Essenthier Collects Second CACC Honorable Mention
 
New Haven, CT – (10/25/2010) – The Chestnut Hill College men’s soccer team totaled two goals last week. Sophomore forward Carl Essenthier (Philadelphia, PA) assisted on both tallies, garnering an honorable mention among the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly award winners for his part in a 1-1 week for the Griffins. This was Essenthier’s second honorable mention; he was recognized on September 3 after providing the game-winner in a 4-3 overtime defeat of the University of the District of Columbia.
 
Essenthier first set-up sophomore midfielder Darryl Richardson (Washington Township, NJ) for the game-winning goal at West Chester University on October 19. He then assisted Gavin Reid on the Griffins only goal in a 5-1 loss against Bloomfield College on October 23. Essenthier ranks second on the team in goals (3), assists (3), points (9), and shots (37).
 
The men’s soccer team concludes their CACC and regular season schedules with a 3:30 p.m. contest at Philadelphia University on Wednesday, October 27.
