Mezzatesta and Marchese Make CACC Golf Weekly Honor Roll
New Haven, Conn. - (9/8/2017) – Finishing first (80, +8) and second (83, +11) respectively in Chestnut Hill College’s 337-365 victory over Jefferson University last Sunday, September 3, Sophomore Taylor Mezzatesta (Forest Hill, Md.) and freshman Tyler Marchese (Dunmore, Pa.) each earn a mention on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Weekly Honor Roll.
The Chestnut Hill College golf team opened their 2017-2018 schedule with a round opposite at the ACE Club, opposite Jefferson University. Chestnut Hill College offered three of the event’s top four finishers as Mezzatesta, Marchese, and freshman Jake Kehoe (Powell, Ohio) completed the 7,471-yard course with the top the scores of the afternoon. Kehoe tied for third with his round of 84 (+12). Completing the Griffin five, freshman Jack LaRosa (Bristol, Pa.) recorded a 90 (+18) to place sixth in his first collegiate outing, while sophomore Shawn Mayer (Brick, N.J.) shot a 93 (+21) to place eighth.
The Chestnut Hill College golf team compete next Sunday, September 10, when they travel to Rock Manor Golf Course for the Swarthmore College/Neumann University Fall Invitational.
