Crim Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll for Debut Performance at East Region Conference Challenge
 
New Haven, Conn. – (11/12/2018) – Freshman guard Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.) had an impressive collegiate debut weekend at Molloy College’s East Region Conference Challenge, averaging 14.5 points-per-game (PPG) and 3.5 rebounds-per-game (RPG) while providing three assists, and four steals in losses to Queens College (L, 87-77 on November 10) and the hosting Lions (L, 69-54 on November 11). The effort earn her a spot in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. Crim’s standout performance came in the loss to the Lions as she recorded a team-high 20 points with a 6-of-12 (.500) effort from the beyond the three point line.
 
Chestnut Hill College (0-2) opened up their 2018-2019 season with a weekend trip to Molloy College for the East Region Conference Challenge. The Griffins first squared off against Queens College (1-1), who put them in a hole early by limiting them just six first-quarter points. The Scarlet and Gold looked to get back in the game after a strong second quarter (30-15), but they were unable to close the gap to double digits until the final minute of the contest (83-75, 0:44, 4QTR). Senior forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J.) and freshman guard Abbey Spratt (Doylestown, Pa.) reached double figures for the Griffins; the former led the way with 20 points (5-for-9, .556, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, while the latter offered 13 points (3-of-9, .333), a rebound, and three assists in her collegiate debut. Crim contributed nine points (4-of-11, .364), three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
 
On day two of the East Region Conference Challenge, Chestnut Hill College went toe-to-toe in a physical contest against the host, Molloy College (1-1). Both teams paired off evenly in the first half of play with the Lions edging the Griffins to a 30-23 margin. In the second half, the pressure wore on the Scarlet and Gold who could not keep pace with Molloy in a 69-54 end. Crim came one three point shot shy of tying a program record as she kept the Griffins in the affair with a 6-of-12 (.500) performance from long range. She was 7-of-15 (.466) overall in her 20-point effort, which also included four rebounds and an assist.
