Wildgoose Garners CACC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll Appearance with Milestone Effort

New Haven, Conn. – (3/4/2019) –
Senior forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Franklin Township, N.J.) averaged 13.0 points per game (PPG) and 5.3 rebounds per game (RPG) en route to recording the 1,500th point of her collegiate career during the Griffins’ 1-2 end to the 2018-2019 season. For her efforts she was recognized with an Honor Roll appearance on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Report. Wildgoose recorded her milestone point on an and-one bucket with 1:47 (50-24) remaining in the second quarter versus the University of the Sciences (USciences).

A one-sided second quarter served as the separator as well as the backdrop for Monday, February 25, night’s historic accomplishment as Chestnut Hill College outscored Nyack College 25-12 in the frame and senior guard Mary Trossi (Somerset, N.J.) recorded the 1,000th point (48-29, 1:28) of her collegiate career during a 71-59 victory over the Warriors. Three Griffins finished in double figures, but it was a 16-point, 10-rebound, double-double from freshman forward Leah Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa.) that led the Scarlet and Gold. Wildgoose offered 11 points, seven rebounds, an assist, and two steals to the victory.

Chestnut Hill College traveled down Henry Avenue for Wednesday’s league affair at Jefferson. There, the Lady Rams earned a 79-65 victory over the Griffins thanks to a 26-point performance from senior center Beverly Kum (Hagerstown, Md.) and an 18-point, 13-rebound, double-double from senior guard Jessica Kaminski (Philadelphia, Pa.). The Scarlet and Gold effort was headlined by a 17-point, 10-rebound, double-double from Miller and a solid perimeter shooting performance (5-of-9, .556 3PT%) from freshman guard Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.). Wildgoose served as a solid compliment with 13 points and three rebounds.

The Scarlet and Gold concluded their 2018-2019 season with a Saturday afternoon loss at USciences, 84-54. The Devils hit 16-of-38 (.421) from three point territory and took advantage of 21 Griffin turnovers to secure the 30-point victory. Wildgoose led the Scarlet and Gold with 15 points, including the 1,500th point of her collegiate career, which she recorded on an and-one bucket with 1:47 (50-24) remaining in the second quarter. She finished the game 6-of-14 (.429) from the floor and 3-of-5 (.600) from the line while grabbing a team-high six rebounds and making a steal.

Chestnut Hill College ended their 2018-2019 season with a 9-17 overall record and a 7-11 standing in the CACC.
