West Chester, PA - (9/13/10) - Chestnut Hill College (0-6) encountered a tough host of foes at the West Chester University Tournament last weekend. The Griffins lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-11) to West Chester University to open the tournament and then continued to lose to Barton College 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-14), Kutztown University 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25, 17), and the New York Institute of Technology 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-17).

Freshman outside hitters, Kailey Arlen (Orland Park, IL) and Alex DePalma (Shillington, PA) headlined the offense with 15 kills apiece. Arlen led the Griffins with a .138 (15K-7E-58TA) hitting percentage and 1.55 points-per-game. Sophomore setter Courtney Gallo (Wilmington, DE) provided 2.00 assists-per-game for a total of 24 over the four matches, freshman Allison Eberly (Orwigsburg, PA) added 21 assists and a team-high seven aces. Defensively, sophomore libero Elisabeth DiGregorio (Conshohocken, PA) hustled to 55 digs (4.58/game) and freshman middle hitter Mary Markowski(Parkton, MD) made seven blocks
