Philadelphia, PA – (10/21/2011) – The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team hosted Post University for this evening's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match and their Side-out Foundation's Dig Pink Night. The Griffins won the match 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-16) to even their home record at 3-3. The Side-Out Foundation's goal is to advance clinical trials, increase compassionate support services and educate communities. Side-Out supports teams nationwide in their volleyball tournaments, clinics and other fundraising efforts.
Post University (7-19, 6-11) opened the match with a 12-7 lead, which quickly prompted a Chestnut Hill College (12-15, 7-8) timeout. Following the huddle, the Griffins took control of the evening with a thunderous comeback and a 25-23, opening-set victory. Liz DiGregorio (Conshohocken, PA) the Griffins separated for a 25-20 win. The Eagles began to feel the pressure in the third set, falling behind a 20-10 deficit before the Griffins closed them out on 25-16 final.
Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, NJ) led the Eagles with ten kills and seven digs. She was supported by ten assists from sophomore defensive specialist Julie Longo (Naugatuck, CT) and six blocks from sophomore middle hitter Belinda Snider (Norwalk, CT).

Alex DePalma (Shillington, PA) led all participants with 16 points, she totaled 14 kills, two aces, and 12 digs in another double-double performance. Freshman setter
Sidney Chukuntarod (San Francisco, CA) helped DePalma offensively with 29 assists while junior middle hitter
Cassie Benson (Rosamond, CA) and junior libero
Liz DiGregorio (Conshohocken, PA) also served as major contributors; Benson with seven kills and three blocks and DiGregorio with two aces and 14 digs.
The women's volleyball team welcomes the University of the Sciences to campus for their next CACC match. It is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. opening serve on Tuesday, October 25.
