Box Score 2 Caldwell, N.J. – (4/1/2014) – Caldwell College failed to score a run off of Chestnut Hill College starting pitching as junior 
Dominic Raia III (Philadelphia, Pa.) and sophomore 
Zachary Crim (Horsham, Pa.) both collected wins in respective 7-3 and 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) finals. In the opener, Raia struck out six Cougars in six innings of scoreless baseball while in game two Crim fanned the same through eight innings of shutout ball. 
While Raia (3-1) sprinkled five Caldwell College (1-13, 0-6) hits over six innings, while the Chestnut Hill College (7-7, 4-0) bats brought home seven runs. The first two Griffins crossed in the first inning of the afternoon with junior right fielder 
Michael McLaughlin (Philadelphia, Pa.) and sophomore designated hitter 
Brendan Looby (Sewell, N.J.) rounding the diamond after drawing walks, 2-0. Three more Griffins crossed in the third inning when junior third baseman 
Taylor Steen (New Egypt, N.J.), senior designated hitter 
Joseph Mullin (Warrington, Pa.), and junior catcher 
Robert Slagle III (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) followed a lead-off single from senior second baseman 
Mark Woltemate (Philadelphia, Pa.) with three consecutive base-hits, 5-0. Slalge led off the sixth inning with a triple and became the Griffins sixth run after a single to right field from junior shortstop 
Preston Koehler (Bath, Pa.), 6-0. The seventh tally came just three batters later with a double from sophomore first baseman 
Patrick Campion (Norristown, Pa.) and a McLaughlin single to right center field, 7-0. 
Game two saw Crim spread six hits and four walks over his eight scoreless frames. Meanwhile, his opposite, senior pitcher Dan Bartlett (Levittown, N.Y.) held his own until the Griffins eighth-inning at-bat. The frame began with a lead-off double from Koehler, who was replaced by Woltemate on a fielder's choice before he and Looby reached home on a two-out single from Campion, 2-0. Junior pitcher 
Vincent Manzella (Matawan, N.,J.) earned his first save of the season with a perfect ninth inning. 
The baseball team continues their CACC schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, with a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader at Wilmington University.
