Baseball Team Partners with Nor-Gwyn Little League for Annual Camp & Skills Clinic

In partnership with the Nor-Gwyn Little League the Chestnut Hill College Baseball team took part in the Fifth Annual Nor-Gwyn Little League Camp and Skills Clinic at Hostelley Field in North Wales on Friday.

The clinic was attended by over 50 players.

Chestnut Hill ballplayers worked with the attendees, aged seven through 13 focusing on baserunning and fielding skills.  Using techniques and drills learned    throughout their collegiate careers, the Griffins worked with the young players on each of the skill areas.   The players went through the CHC warmup and throwing program and then were broken down into position specific drills and finished with baserunning drills and relays.

"It's a really great opportunity for us coaches and players to give back," said Griffins' Assistant Head Coach Ed Omelia.   "It's a chance for us all to remember how pure of a sport baseball is and how young it starts. The kids want to learn and have fun and if we can provide that for them, it's a win for everyone. We owe it as coaches and players to give back when we can. We have a great relationship with Nor-Gwyn and this clinic is always a great way to enhance our  fall college season by spending some time with the Hawks players."
