Philadelphia, Pa. – (4/27/2014) – Today, #2 Chestnut Hill College met #1 Concordia College (NY) in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship for the second time in as many seasons. Once again, the Clippers proved to the better side, collecting a 5-0 victory for their fifth consecutive league crown. Freshman

Anthony Moore (Williamstown, N.J.) headlined the Griffin effort with All-Tournament selections.
Concordia College (18-4) took the third and first team flights by 8-1 finals before they met resistance from Chestnut Hill College (20-6) in the second doubles flight. That is where Porter and Moore earned their medal, delaying juniors Jusso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland) and Tomaz Olfans (Opole, Poland) to a 9-7 win.
The Clippers continued to control the match as individuals with junior Benas Majauskas (Vilinus, Lithuania) and senior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) ending the match with respective wins at number three, 6-0, 6-3, and number two singles, 6-1, 6-3. The remainder of the singles pairings went unfinished.
Joining Porter and Moore on the CACC All-Tournament team were four Clippers; sophomore Rafael Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Piludu, Ojanen, and Majauskas, the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
The Chestnut Hill College men's and women's tennis teams now await seeding in the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II (NCAADII) East Regional which will be announced in a Tuesday-evening selection show.
