Pham Represents Men’s Tennis On ITA All-Academic Team

Skillman, N.J. – (7/14/2014) – A recent Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring 2014 All-Academic performer, senior Yoann Pham (Boulogne-Billancourt, France) was recently honored as a member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team. He was also recognized academically on the Chestnut Hill College Fall 2013 Athletic Academic Honor Roll.
 
Pham graduated from Chestnut Hill College's International Business, Language, and Culture program after three years of competing on the Griffins men's tennis team. He contributed a 9-7 individual record and a 14-10 doubles standing during the Griffins return trips to the CACC Championship and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II East Regional. Sharing a 13-9 number one doubles record with junior Steven Say (Cannes, France); Pham earned a #6 doubles ranking in the ITA East Region.
 
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or above. All eligible student-athletes who have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner with a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.
