Demetrius Isaac (Philadelphia, Pa.) served as the Griffins' leading scorer with his sixth double digit performance of the season providing 19 points.
Chestnut Hill College (3-5, 1-1) took their only lead of the affair, 16-15, on a three point basket from freshman forward
Dakpe Yiljep (Samaru-Zaria, Nigeria) with 12:13 to play in the opening half. Behind junior guard Sameen Swint (Sicklerville, N.J.), Goldey-Beacom College (2-7, 1-2) regained their edge, pushing their lead to 11 points, 29-18, by 7:44 and expanding it to as many as 16 points, 38-22, with 3:35 still to play in the frame. Antonio Toplyn Jr. (Sicklerville, N.J.) kept the Griffins alive, forcing his way to a series of late free throws that held the Lightning's halftime advantage at 15 points, 46-31.
In the second half, the home team advanced their lead past 20 points on a pair of free throws by junior guard Shakeem Wilson (Brooklyn, N.Y.), 61-40 (14:33). Then, senior guard Jarrel Lane (Rahway, N.J.) hit a three point basket just past the 11-minute mark (10:57) to bring the Lightning to their largest lead, 22 points (69-47). But a determined pride of Griffins reunited for a rallying effort that returned the deficit to single digits, 80-71, on a last-minute layup from sophomore forward
Edward McWade (Wildwood, N.J.) (0:51). Unfortunately, that is where the final spread remained as time ran out on the Griffin comeback.
Swint led the Lightning with 19 points, three rebounds, an assist, and two steals, but he had plenty of help from junior center Elijah Tillman (Garnersville, N.Y.), who offered 13 points and 18 rebounds, while providing three assists, eight blocks, and a steal. Freshman guard Corey Taite (Sayreville, N.J.) contributed 18 points, four rebounds, three assists, and a steal while Wilson recorded 13 points, two rebounds, five assists, a block, and a steal.

Luke Dickson (Pitman, N.J.) offered 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Toplyn and junior forward
Gerald Evariste (Philadelphia, Pa.) combined for 25 points and 14 rebounds off the Griffin bench. With his first collegiate double-double, Evariste supplied the better half of that (13 points and 10 rebounds). Senior captain
Noel Hightower (Easton, Pa.) matched his effort on the glass with 10 rebounds, while additionally recording five points, three assists, and two steals.
The Chestnut Hill College continues their CACC schedule at home on Saturday, December 12, when they host Philadelphia University in a 3:00 p.m. contest.
