Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/1/2015) – The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team brought a real piece of history to their April Fool's Day clash with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Caldwell University, giving Head Coach Albert Stroble his 100th career victory with a 9-0 sweep.

Chestnut Hill College (8-6, 3-0) quickly took care of the doubles play, with an 8-1 win from junior Henry Boyle (London, England) and senior Devin Hampton (Midland, Texas) setting the tone for the ensuing dominance. Seniors Michael Humes (Mount Laurel, N.J.) and Steven Say (Cannes, France) were 8-3 winners at number two, while freshmen Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) and Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) outlasted the top Caldwell University (0-4, 0-3) pairing for an 8-6 decision.

Senior Sammy Atri (Mexico City, Mexico) brought Stroble to the precipice of the century mark with a 6-1, 6-1 rout of the sixth singles flight, and Humes made it official with an easy victory in the third flight (6-1, 6-2). Boyle, Bocaletto, and junior Kevin Taylor (Burlington, N.J.) all coasted to straight-set triumphs at fourth (6-1, 6-2), first (6-0, 6-3), and fifth (6-2, 6-4) singles, respectively, before Say finished off the sweep with a hard-earned 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 conquest on the number two court.

Chestnut Hill College hits the road to take on Southern New Hampshire University and the University of Hartford on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4.
