The Griffins and Golden Rams split the twin bill as the visitors claimed a 7-2 win in the women's match, but gave way to Chestnut Hill College in the men's match, 8-1. Senior
Laure-Anne Josso (Vannes, France) had a hand in both of the Scarlet and Gold points, joining sophomore
Daniela Siqueira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) for a 8-6 win at number two doubles before winning her number one singles contest, 7-6 (6-3), 6-4. Meanwhile, the Chestnut Hill College men only lost at number three doubles, 8-6.
West Chester University (1-0) took the number three doubles match to control a 2-1 advantage heading to women's singles action. There, the Golden Rams advanced their lead to 4-1 before Josso scored her point at number one singles (4-2). Unfortunately, the visitors clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2, win at number four singles (5-2), only to add to the margin with additional victories over Chestnut Hill College (0-7) at number six (6-1, 6-1) and number five (7-5, 7-5) singles, respectively.
The men's match unfolded quite differently with Chestnut Hill College (2-0) gaining the advantage in doubles play after sophomore

Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France) endured for a 9-7 triumph at number one doubles. The victory spurred the Griffins on for six straight singles wins. The first came at number three singles, where freshman
Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) scored a 5-0 win by retirement. Next, number one singles was claimed by Kohler, 6-4, 6-1, and after the Scarlet and Gold victories were recorded by freshman
Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) (6-3, 6-0), Ducretot (6-4, 2-6, 6-4), junior
Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) (6-3, 6-2), and junior
Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) (8-1).
The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team completes their fall schedule on Friday, October 7, when they host the University of the Sciences (USciences) in a 3:00 p.m. non-conference match. The women's tennis team also plays next versus USciences as they conclude their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule with a 12:00 p.m. match on Saturday, October 15.
