Griffins Cross Cougars of List of CACC Challengers

Box Score |  Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/14/2016) – It was freshman Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden) who won the match for Chestnut Hill College this time as the Griffins earned a 6-3 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory over Caldwell University on his 6-4, 6-4, win at number three singles. Freshman Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) and senior Henry Boyle (London, England) joined Gavin a contributors to two Griffin victories.
 
The doubles flights finished in order with Chestnut Hill College (10-5, 4-0) defeating Caldwell University (6-4, 2-2) in all three matches; 8-0, 8-4, 8-2, respectively (3-0). The Griffins' next point came at number two singles with a 6-2, 6-2, triumph from Kohler, 4-0. The Cougars interrupted the Scarlet and Gold run with a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 final at number one singles, 4-1. But soon after, Gavin earned the clincher with his third-flight win, 5-1. Boyle added the sixth point (6-1) at number six singles, 8-2, before the late Cougar wins at number four singles, 6-4, 6-2, and number five singles, 8-5, tidied up the final, 6-3.
 
The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team welcomes National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) East Region rival, Queens College to campus tomorrow for a 12:00 p.m. dual match with the Griffin women.
