Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Norristown, Pa. – (4/23/2016) – After 18 innings of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play, Chestnut Hill College and Felician University remained a game apart in the league standings. The Griffins came from behind to win the opener 6-4 before the Golden Falcon offense erupted for a dozen runs in a 12-2 final. Senior catcher Robert Slagle III (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) served as the game-one hero for the Scarlet and Gold, connecting for a two-run double in a four run seventh inning. After some early trouble, senior Zachary Crim (Horsham, Pa.) figured in the no decision; he held the Golden Falcons to four runs on seven hits and a walk, while striking out two.
 
Following the game-one dramatics, the second contest today's CACC doubleheader was less fulfilling. Felician University (24-17, 12-4) scored in each of their first four at-bats to hold a commanding 7-0 advantage over Chestnut Hill College (22-18, 12-6). Meanwhile sophomore Jason Polgano (Bronx, N.Y.) (5-1) kept the Griffins off balance, striking out five in the first three innings and 10 through eight innings. Junior shortstop Jonathan Baturgil (Freehold, N.J.) recorded two hits for the Scarlet and Gold. Senior first baseman Patrick Campion (Norristown, Pa.) and freshman catcher Eric Gilham (Deptford, N.J.) each batted in a run.
 
At first, The Golden Falcons appeared primed for a pair of CACC victories. But after allowing four first-inning runs, Crim settled in. He only allowed three base runners over the next 5.2 innings, handing the contest off to the bullpen. In support the Griffin bats provided two runs in the third inning and four runs in the seventh inning. Senior left fielder Brendan Looby (Sewell, N.J.) and Slagle singled in the first two while the latter four came in on a Campion single, Slagle's clutch double, and a Golden Falcon error. Junior Ezra Bye (Teaneck, N.J.), senior Austin DiBonaventure (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.), and freshman Dino Cattai (Philadelphia, Pa.) combined for 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. Bye earned the win (2-0) while Cattai earned his fifth save (5) of the season.  
  
Chestnut Hill College briefly breaks from their CACC schedule to rematch #12 East Stroudsburg University in a 6:00 p.m. contest on Thursday, April 28.
