Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/13/2017) – Completing their fall schedule, the Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team visited local Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival, Jefferson University for a non-conference match at the Abraham J. Salaman Tennis Courts. The Griffins used a 3-0 doubles sweep and the first two singles scores to clinch the win over the Rams in an eventual 6-3 final. Junior

Jesus Darias (Bolivar, Venezuela), and senior
Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) were all 2-0 on the day, each winning their individual match after successful doubles rounds.
Chestnut Hill College (2-0) got a solid head start on Jefferson University (0-2) with consecutive doubles wins in the second, 8-3, third, 8-6, and first, 9-8 (7-5), flights. Andre and sophomore
Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) scored the first point of the match at number two doubles, they were followed by a number three doubles win by Darias and sophomore
Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden), and a number one doubles triumph by Regalin and senior
Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil).
In singles play, the match was clinched on individual victories by Andre (6-2, retired @ #1) and Regalin (6-0, 6-2 @ #5). The sixth Griffin point came from Darias at number four singles, 6-4, 7-6 (5), but it was preceded by Ram wins at number six, 6-2, 6-3, and number two, 6-3, 6-3, singles, and followed by a 6-0, 6-2 Ram win at number three singles.
