Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/11/2017) – Caldwell University was next on Chestnut Hill College's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule as the Cougars visited campus today, Tuesday, April 11, for a league match. The Griffins were given a 2-0 head start due to a short Cougar lineup. The match was completed on a 9-0 final in the Scarlet and Gold favor; sophomore Victor Iove (Tournai, Belgium) scored the winning point with his 6-0, 6-0, at number five singles.
 
Following the default at number three doubles, Chestnut Hill College (9-5, 3-0) completed the format sweep with consecutive wins at number two, 8-0, and number one, 8-5, doubles. The Griffins' lead quickly progressed to 4-0 with the default at number six singles. Iove's victory was the clincher, 5-0, with succeeding singles wins from freshman Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) in the fourth, 6-1, 6-0, senior Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France) in the third, 6-1, 6-1, sophomore Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) in the first, 6-2, 6-2, and sophomore Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany), 6-2, 6-3, in the second.
 
Chestnut Hill College sees Philadelphia University next, as they travel down Henry Avenue for a 3:00 p.m. league match on Thursday, April 13.
